30 weeks tomorrow... hospital bag preparation!?!

Ftm here! 10 more weeks til my girl is due to be here. When did you start preparing your hospital bag? What kind of things did you include? I go for my hospital tour next week, but i am getting a bit anxious and i feel like i need to start planning now.

I didn't start packing until about 38 weeks. 
I over packed a bit, but I'm glad I did because I ended staying up longer (emergency c-section) so here's a few of my items I had. 
Myself: 
2 nursing tanks
2 nursing bras
2 comfy pants
1 comfy shorts
Robe
Wear home outfit
2 oversized tshirts 
Jumbo grandma undies
Overnight depend pads
Hygiene products (deodorant, pony tails, dry shampoo, stuff for shower, toothbrush/paste, brush, chapstick) 
Phone charger
Pillow
Blanket
Slippers
Baby:
1 thick blanket
3 swaddles
2 light weight blankets
2 sleeper/outfits
Socks
Mittens
Coming home outfit
*this time I'm bringing my own towel because the hospitals are so small.

I packed the following with my first pregnancy: 
For Me: 
My own non-slip socks. Not necessary as the hospital will provide but I found some cute “it’s a girl!” pink socks on amazon! 
Satin robe for any pictures and a button up long sleeve sleep shirt for nursing and to be more comfy!
Outfit to go home in (I had my baby in July) so for me this was a flowy sundress.
Travel size toiletries to shower/freshen up. 
Boppy pillow (if you plan on nursing or just to prop the baby up) 
Phone charger! 
For Baby:
Swaddle blankets
Cute hats/bows 
Going home outfit 
Personalized onesie
Pacifier 
*Honestly I packed WAY too much for baby as hospital literally has everything you need. For baby #2, I plan to just pack a going home outfit and an outfit for any first pictures and maybe a personalized hat but that’s it.

So with my first I was out of town a lot so I packed his bag early and wasted a ton of time because when labor actually hit I was convinced I didn’t need some of it or I needed more or my husband had grabbed stuff so I needed more of his stuff. This time I will probably be packing it early just because I had my first a week early and this one doesn’t feel like he’s going to take any longer on his own and I have weddings and birthdays all around his due date so seeing as I’ll most likely be away from home I want to have it all packed and in the car just in case he decides to make a surprise visit.

My bag will be done and ready around 32 weeks , everyone I Know has gone early this summer so I want to be ready . 
Nursing bras, nursing tanks, flowy yoga pants , robe , toiletries , long phone charger, going home outfit . The hospital has everything for the baby .

I’ll be 30 weeks next week. I just plan on writing a check list and throwing my bag together as labor starts lol. Everything I’d pack is stuff I use regularly.

My hospital has a packing list they give you, I would ask for one or search on their website. Different ones have different things they provide you with. I would pack it at 35 or 36 weeks unless they tell you it will be early.

Some products friends have recommended over standard hospital-issue stuff:
- Adult diapers in case you dislike the mesh/pad combo (Always Discreet come highly recommended)
- Organic nipple balm and perineal spray (in case you dislike the chemicals in the mainstream brands)
- Reusable nipple pads in case you don’t care for the crinkly disposable ones
- Fridababy perineal squirt bottle (easier to aim based on angled neck)
I’m also bringing lots of chapstick, extra long phone chargers for myself and hubs, toiletries/light makeup, and a dark-colored towel that is larger than hospital issue but that I can throw away after. Plus nursing tanks/bras, leggings, a robe, sticky socks, and one or two outfits for the new arrival!
