Yesterday was day 11 of stims...So we went to the Dr yesterday for ultrasound/labs. I have 10+ follicles on each side..3 were 18, some 16ish and some 12-14ish. They said to plan for retrieval Sunday or Monday depending on my labs and instructions were given. They called last evening and said, “one more day of stims, come in tomorrow morning for another ultrasound and labs, and plan for retrieval Monday”. This was great for us because it meant our Dr would be able to do the retrieval procedure Monday. So this morning comes and I now have 90% of my follicles 18-22cm. My instructions were to do my Ganorelix at my normal time, then Pregnyl 10,000u at 8:30pm and retrieval is Monday. We were so excited... we get a call at 12:35 saying we have to hurry and drive an hour away to a specific pharmacy to get a different med and now I have to do:

Lupron-20units sub-q at 8:30

Pregnyl-1509u IM- 8:30

Then tomorrow:

Lupron-20units at 8:30am.

They said I’m at a serious high risk for OHSS. My estridol was 1400 yesterday and 2150 today. I do have PCOS.

Anyone have this experience? I have no clue what to expect wit the Lupron. I kind of had a mini (more like balling my eyes out) breakdown. I work nightshift and haven’t slept at all between working and appointments the last 3 days. None of our family/friends know we’re doing this so they still expect me to be the “errand running, non stop woman I usually am”.

I’m just feeling more overwhelmed than excited. I figured I’d be jumping for joy that we finally have a date.

And all of this just to wake up to my stepdaughter calling me saying she found out their mother (who’s a hot mess) got pregnant, and an abortion this week..

JUST NEED A REMINDER THAT ITS ALL WORTH IT!!! 😩😩😩😩
