So basically my step mom is uncomfortable with me calling her by her first name. Which is understandable, but I don’t want to call her “mom”, so for the past few months I just haven’t been addressing her by her name or mom, what do I do now, I just don’t want to be rude especially bc she over reacts with everything

i went through the same shit. no one could ever replace my mom and i never called either of my step moms mom. if she’s uncomfortable with her name wtf does she want you to do? you should never feel like you have to call her mom. maybe talk to your dad and see what he has to say and then be like hey imma not call you mom okay?😂

I call my stepdad by his name.. nothing wrong with that. If she is uncomfortable with that then that’s her problem she should be accustoming to whatever works best for you because she is being a big role as a step mom in your life
