I just had the stupidest argument with my mom regarding my baby shower... and the argument was about plates.

Here’s the gist of it: for a baby shower with about 15-20 people coming, would you use actual ceramic plates, or would you use themed paper plates?

My mom is hosting my shower at her home and is insisting on using real plates. But, she doesn’t have enough. So she’s asking to borrow mine, since I have enough plates for about 24 people. I don’t understand why she won’t just use paper plates? Like isn’t that typical for a baby shower? I don’t want my plates getting broken, and I think people will feel awkward using ceramic plates.

Please tell me I’m not crazy and that I’m right about this.
