Should I cut my mom out too?

My mother’s mother & I have never gotten along. For as long I can remember she would always physically & verbally abuse me, which my mom would allow. I hated every time we would visit because I knew as soon as I walked through the front door she would start in. She would talk to my mom about me being fat right in front of me, hit me when I would walk by her, call me awful names... my mother did nothing to stop her.

Fast forward to when I’m 20. I got pregnant. My husband & I were ecstatic as it was our first child. My mom brought her along against my wishes when my husband & I announced. When I had announced I was pregnant she told me to my face — in front of all my friends (& my mother) that she thought I “would have done something more productive with my life than spitting out babies”. That day I told her if she was so upset about it then she didn’t have to have any involvement. I blocked her on everything that day & have had zero contact with her since.

My daughter is now 18 months. I’ve told my mom

HUNDREDS of times that I do not want her mother knowing ANYTHING about my daughter; I had cut her out completely & was not playing games. I was not going to allow her to bully & degrade my daughter like she did. For some reason that won’t get through my mothers head.

When I was pregnant I told my mother I didn’t even want her knowing my daughters name. I told my mother not to give out my address. Guess who has my address? I told my mother not to give out my phone number. Didn’t listen to me then either, I had to block my mothers mother number so she couldn’t harass me. She won’t listen. I’m this 👌🏻 fucking close to cutting out my mother too. I moved 1,500 miles away to get away from her.

Would you cut her my mom out too?
