Vaginal lump, zit or possible genital herpes?

So I shaved down there yesterday, and today I noticed there’s a lump on the inside of my lips, it’s sore to the touch , no I haven’t touched it, but I wear men’s boxers to sleep at night and the seam of them had rubbed against it and it felt very sore/slightly painful. I looked at it, it doesn’t look like genital herpes as I’ve searched online, it may just be an ingrown hair? But I’m not positive. I do have sex, and I have had sex unprotected but have had my boyfriend get checked before we ever didn’t use protection. But I do know that my older sister has genital herpes passed on by her birth mother and I’ve share her clothes as long as they’re always clean. Should I get checked or has anyone else had this happen before after shaving? I’d post a picture but I feel that’s a bit way too graphic .

It could be anything from razor burn, to ingrown hair, to even a rash or cyst. I wouldn’t worry about herpes unless you have multiple blisters.

I have had multiple ingrown hairs. They usually have a white tip. Mine have been extremely painful especially when I take care of them and pluck the ingrown hairs. If your too afraid or worried just go see a gynecologist to check it out.
