Yeast infections, new IUD or something else?

A little over a week ago I got a IUD inserted (skyla) I used to have the copper IUD and have never had this problem but I got a yeast infection, my first one in 2 years but I also recently switched from the always pads and carefree panty liners to “this is L.” Pads and panty liners because I wanted to try something more natural for my body because I’m very sensitive. When I opened the bag after having them for a couple weeks I noticed a STRONG chemical smell which I found odd because “this is L.” Is chemical free. My boyfriend and our friend said it’s the adhesive I’m smelling. Could the new pads have caused my infection? Or could it be the IUD?
