Won’t feed without screaming first??

Question

My son is 2 days old, and always sleeps for at least an hour before a feed. But that means he wakes up crying and won’t take bottle because he’s too worked up. Any advice?

My baby did that too for the first 3 or 4 days. Now she barely makes a peep. It gets better I promise!!! Hang in there

My daughter would do the same thing the first week and a half. She’d sleep until she was so hungry and frustrated. The nurses at the hospital suggested I take my (clean) pinky and let her suck on it for a few seconds until she calmed down enough to actually latch or take a bottle. Luckily she grew out of it after a week and a half and she wakes herself up earlier before she gets too hungry.
