Has anyone had the contraceptive injection?

I had the contraceptive injection nearly 3 weeks ago. My period is 3/4 days late 😕 I’m usually only 1 day late if late at all 🤷🏻‍♀️ Was your period late? How long did it take for you to get your period after your first shot?

I’ve had it and didn’t ever get a period they stopped completely xx

I did depo for 9 months (3 shots) and it caused me to have light bleeding daily. I stopped the shot and there was still blood. The only thing that stopped the bleeding was switching to the estrogen bc pill. Now I know I have PCOS but I wouldn’t wish the 17 month period on my worst enemy

My period completely went away on this until I stopped getting the shot! And then it took about 8 months for me to get my period back once I did stop it.

I did depo for a little while and went from light spotting for a few months to no period at all :)

It can stop your periods it made mine go super light.. only trouble I had with the depo injection was trying to get pregnant after it as it can take up to a year to come out of your system.. tuck me 4 & 6months to get pregnant with my boys after stopping the depo. With my little girl I was on the pill and got pregnant the 1st month trying.. something to consider if your wanting a baby anytime soon. 😊
