30 min naps ?

Question

My sweet boy will only nap in his crib for 30 minutes on the dot but can sleep an hour to hour and a half if he’s on me. How do i get my little one to start taking longer stretch naps in his crib?

I had the same problem but it isn’t a quick fix and might not work for you!!
I would time her and when it got to 25 mins I went up picked her up rocked her till 35 mins then put her back down! This got me an hour- something about the sleep cycles changing!!
Did this consistently for 2 weeks now I don’t have to she does an hour :)

I don't have any answers but I'm going through the exact same thing. 30 minutes and he's wide awake in his crib but he'll sleep for a solid while on me. I've tried soothing him back to sleep as soon as he wakes and even rousing him a bit prior to 30 minutes to try to reset his sleep cycle and none of it has been effective. Today was a day of 5 25-35 minute naps. 😩

My son does the same. I paid for a sleep analysis through huckleberry and it gave tips like to try nudging him after he’s been asleep for 24 minutes to restart his sleep cycle. I tried it once and he slept for 50 minutes. I’m not sure if it was a fluke or it worked.

Mine was doing the same thing. Literally 30minutes on the dot and his eyes would shoot open and he would be up. This lasted for about 3 weeks and I noticed he started sleeping better during naps once he was able to soothe himself to sleep at night. Now he is doing a 30min nap but then later will do 1-2.5 hour nap.

I have no advice as my little one does the same thing. She has been doing it for about 2.5 months now. I've tried everything. Every once in a while she will sleep 8n her crib for an hour to an hour and a half but its usually 25-35 minutes.

My baby girl use to do the same. 30 min on the dot. But she started to roll to her tummy to sleep and now she naps for 1.5-2 hours. Sometimes if she wakes up sooner than 30 mins, I’ll leave her in the crib for 10/15 mins to see if she will soothe herself back to sleep.

My son would do the same thing. I’d usually give him his binky a couple of times after he woke up and he’s finally fall back asleep. Now he’s much better.

How old is your baby? Are you comfortable with hom sleeping on his tummy? My lo wouldnt nap either so i started putting her on her tummy. Worked real good. Now she sleeps on her tummy at night cause she's so active she wakes herself up.
