Baby shower foods?

Question

What sorts of food are you having at your shower? 
My MIL and mom are throwing me a sprinkle and my mom is providing the food but my MIL is being a Debbie downer about food. 
My mom intended on doing finger sandwiches of different varieties(as the main “dish”), cold cuts, chicken salad, egg salad, tuna salad. And my MIL doesn’t like the idea....? 
What else do you have at a shower!?!? 😂

We are doing a brunch theme! Several donuts!!! I LOVE donuts! Fresh fruit, and fruit pizza! Mimosas and coffee/baileys

Im doing sandwiches, mini quiches, scones cakes and a cheese and dip plate. I’m not doing hot food. I’m not standing in the kitchen all day haha. So it’s going to be an informal kind of afternoon high tea finger food where people can just pick.

We did a bbq with sides. My sister did a sandwich bar with croissants and it was a big hit! I’ve heard of people doing a taco bar too.
