See your doctor. It shouldn't be stabbing him. If it is, that's a sign it's moved from where it should be and it's a hazard for you because if it can stab him it could potentially hurt you too. My best friend got an IUD in just out of highschool when she married her husband. She always wanted kids but wanted to wait till she finished college and became a nurse with a good job before she had kids. She got her IUD in and it moved and started stabbing her, causing her extreme pain for weeks. She bled constantly and was also physically  ill for months because every time she went to see her doc, the refused to remove it. They made her keep it in knowing it was broken and in the wrong place for over a year before she went in in such bad pain she demanded they take it out and threatened to remain there screaming until they would. After they finally removed it for her, she still bled constantly for a long time, it took a couple years for her periods to normalize again, she still gets really sick on them, has been on zero birth control for years now and can't get pregnant no matter how she tries. They basically forced her to keep her broken IUD in the wrong place until it completely, permanently sterilized her against her will.

If your actual IUD is stabbing him then it has come through your cervix and is no longer working properly. However if it’s only the strings that are poking him, you can ask your doctor to trim them. Overtime they soften a lot and often curl up around your cervix and are no longer bothersome. 
Either way I would schedule an appointment with your doctor to verify that the IUD is still in the right place and check the string length

I've been seen by doctors they say it's in the right place. They've also said that we shouldn't feel it at all but he definitely does and the marks are a little scary.

If it’s the string that is stabbing your boyfriend they can cut it slightly shorter that’s what they did for my aunt
