Do you hide your weed use?

I do from kids, idk why but I do. My family rented a beach house in a MJ  legal state and I waited until the nieces and nephews were in bed and snuck out on the roof for a blunt. 🤭 my cat who always travels with me is like "dafaq u doin ma?!"

Just out of curiosity, how do y'all feel about alcohol vs weed in front of kids? For the life of me I cant figure out why its socially acceptable to have alcohol at every restaurant, gathering, etc but not weed. It's almost ubiquitous and people are looked at weird if they say " no thanks I dont drink ". I'd rather go to applebees and choose a nice sativa with my meal..but bow I'm rambling, probs bc I'm high lol.

I always think you should refrain from smoking in front of kids regardless if it's legal. I wait till my kids are in bed before smoking,  however I will take small hit if I'm having a really off day and notice I'm a little more short tempered while their awake but again never in front of them.

We don’t hide it my daughter is 5 and leaves it alone. It’s no different than having a cigarette or having a drink. I also live in a legal state but even if we didn’t I still wouldn’t hide it. Its all about educating your child. We keep it all up and out of reach and she understands not to touch it, it’s for grown ups, just like alcohol. My sister in law hid smoking from her kids and all of them started smoking openly by 18.

Nope. I dont hide it even from my kids. My daughter is 1 and she knows mommy and daddy smoke but she is never up when we do and I am currently not smoking due to my second pregnancy. I find that being open and honest my child is less likely to try it and hide it from me when she hits that age of curiosity. I want her to know she can come to me and her father about things like that. I feel I got it from older boys at 13 my first time I rather know if and when she does try it that she gets it from me or her father and is safe at home so that we know its not laced or that she isnt taken advantage of.

I never hid it from my kids. But I did wait until they were old enough to understand the conversation. I feel that being open and honest with them will prevent them from wanting to hide their curiosity about that and other drugs from me in the future. I’m pretty open with my kids about most everything. I also have very curious kids who like to be informed which I have also taught them that asking questions in life is how you learn. However I don’t smoke like right there in their face simply because I wouldn’t do that if I smoked cigarettes either. Drinking is different because they wouldn’t walk around smelling of alcohol from me drinking in front of them so I feel that’s a bit different. I have smoked in front of them outside. I have fully explained the effects of it and as well as the meditative and medicated purposes. I do not smoke directly in front of their friends or even other family members kids though because it is not my place to educate them on the subject, that I feel, should be an individual decision made by their parents. I don’t have that right to make that decision for them.

Both me and my fiancé smoke as well and have discussed this at length. We both agree that we would never smoke in front of our children (or anyone else’s) and keep it as our nightly routine. I have heavy insomnia (haven’t smoked for a few days and it’s kicking my ass) and MJ helps me sleep. My fiancé has hypercardiomyopia so it helps him relax and brings his blood pressure down to the point where he’s comfortable. We try to be out of the house when we do smoke so it doesn’t go through the ventilation system and effect others in the home.

I don’t have kids, but yes I do hide the fact that I smoke from some ppl I know, idk why really- I just think some ppl view it as a “party thing” but I legit just use it to relax and think

I don’t smoke directly In front of her but she has definitely walked it while I’m enjoying my nightly J and all I do is put it down and redirect her back to her room , I don’t believe in smoking around/near other peoples kids because it’s not my place but mine will definitely know mommy smokes for her anxiety and acid reflux (because it does wonders in relieving GERD symptoms)
