Spotting

I wiped and this is what came out. My period isn't due for 6 days. Should I be preparing for a period or a pregnancy test? I'm hoping to be pregnant soon so don't want to get my hopes up yet since we haven't done it much.Any insight would be helpful. Thank you in advance.
