So I’ve been dating this guy, he’s 15 years older than me, had a son young. In fact he is about 2 years younger than me.

Going to be a bit blunt, my bf has always been a bit of a slob, so is his spawn lol.

I care for both of them but I feel like this whole mentality of treating your child like your best friend is getting out of hand. He isn’t much of a father, and I know he cares he’s obviously doing what he can but I don’t think encouraging his son to get drunk and etc is good either.

Instead of acting like a responsible father he is more of his best friend.

Yes I know well “ your not his mother” blah blah.. and I know I would never ask him to choose me over his kid.

That’s why I’m thinking of eliminating myself out of the equation.
