Moms in college?!

Question

Any moms out there who went back to school? If so was it online or in person? What was your experience/ was it worth it? What’d you do for child care?

I’m back in school getting my second masters degree and this will be my 3rd degree. I’m currently doing the career I love which is a nurse. 
My son goes to daycare. I’ve been in college since I was 16, getting degrees and achieving all my goals. My husband is a doctor now so he achieved his goal. 
I’m doing online and on campus 2 days a week. This will be my last degree I think lol. I love college and I love learning. Being educated is very important to me. ❤️❤️

I found out I was pregnant two weeks before I moved back on campus did my fall semester in person and spring semester online I haven’t taken anytime off I start school back on the 20th. My daughter is 4 months old. She will be going to daycare 2 days a week.

I took two classes that are prerequisites for my doctorate that I somehow didn’t have to take during my bachelors or masters degrees. My daughter was 7 months old when I went back to school. At that point we had grandma watching her but switched to daycare at 9 months because my parents were going to be traveling a lot in the coming months. I pulled her back out of daycare at 15 months when I completed the classes, at which point I was just applying to various schools and no longer needed her to be watched and didn’t want to spend the money on daycare when it wasn’t necessary. 
I start my doctorate program next May, and my son (Due 12/2) will be just over 6 months and my daughter will be 2.5. We’ll likely hire a nanny when I begin, as it will be cheaper than paying for daycare for two.

Went back when my son was a year old. I did online through my state university and I kept him with me, no childcare. We make it work and I’ll be finishing up next year! Slowing down a little starting the spring because we are expecting baby #2 in September but I’ll be done by the fall. Do what’s best for you and you can make anything work as long as you’re motivated!

I completed 3/4 of my grad classes postpartum with my son. I was working full time as a teacher and just went in to work early at 6:30 every work day to find time for my schoolwork. My parents watched my son while I was at work, so I didn’t really need to figure that element out.

Went to college when my kids were two and four for a year. Graduated with top grades. Childcare was a bit of a challenge and I relied a lot on daycare, family and friends but I did it. It was well worth the struggle. My advice is to go because it's worth it.

I went back for my Master’s after my first was born (I also finished my Bachelor’s right after she was born, because she came early and I had to go another semester). I used child care to finish my last semester of my Bachelor’s, but I opted for online classes for my Master’s, so I could be a stay at home mom.

I went back to school at 3 months post partum and back to working full time. My daughter was in daycare. I did homework on the weekends and after my husband got home. It was tough in the beginning. My daughter is almost 2 now and I’m almost done!! It’s so much easier at 1yr old than it is with a newborn.
