Name too close to cousin's name?

We had Leanitus picked out for years before we we're even trying knowing some day we would want one. In the meantime his brother had a son and named him Leonial. Is it too close to use still?

No offense but Leanitis sounds like a STD or something to me. “Itis” means inflammatory disease, and I just can’t get over that..

Also, please do consider the spelling Leonidas if you do go with that name. Leanitas just doesn’t look right.

How is Leonial pronounced? Pronunciation matters more than the spelling of either name (although please spell your son’s name Leonidas because it’s so much better).
