Dealing with delays??

Question

How do you all deal with the unexpected delays in this process??? It seems like it shouldn’t be a big deal if you have to wait one more month but my emotions say otherwise. I know you gotta be flexible but I’m still upset.

At my 2th try for IUI, on Tuesday I had an echo and my egg was ready to pop! 
The places for the IUI on Wednesday were full.. the (replacement) gynecologist sad “it’s full, we can wait another month now or wait until Thursday..” that easy... with the risk that my egg popt Thursday!! 
I was blown away for that answer.. so on my request we did another echo on wednsesday en the IUI went on Thursday with luck!! 
When I was at home I was thinking about it and I was really mad about the given reaction, so I sad it to the(unfortunately to another) gynecologist that that was Unacceptable if you are TTC on this way!!! 
But still, sometimes it’s ok to wait... but other times...

I was doing iui and we had to take a month off (to many egg)so my husband and i just ttc at home that month. It made me feel better if nothing else.

It’s really tough. I am so sick of being patient! But I do feel like over time (multiple IVF cycles) I’ve naturally gotten more used to unexpected delays. When it’s because we need more testing or my body wasn’t responding the way it should to treatment, then I remind myself that the delay is to make sure I have the best chance of it working that I can possibly have. When they delay is more related to scheduling/logistics/life I make a big effort to think of some things to do in the wait that I wouldn’t do during an assisted cycle, to try to feel like there is a silver lining to waiting another month - it doesn’t take away all disappointment, but for me it helps as a distraction to have some other fun things or small goals to focus on.

It’s so hard I usually cry for a day and then start planning the next month.

I feel like we’ve had so many “wasted” months.  My dr couldn’t get me in to do my hsg the first cycle so I wasted one there, then he didn’t have any available spots until 2 cycles after hsg, and now that I’m on letrozole and supposed to be going in for an ultrasound today or tomorrow yet again not a single opening available so I have to wait until next cycle to see if the letrozole is doing what we are hoping it will. Gah, I know a baby will be worth the wait but I’m not getting any younger!

God I feel your pain so much, I am so impatient and frustrated, and every time we're waiting for something it seems to fall just so we lose another cycle. I've tried distractions but am still obsessing lol x
