My baby is getting her lip and tongue ties fixed tomorrow. She’s 5 weeks old. I stopped nursing her when she was 2 weeks old because of how severe her lip tie is. I switched to pumping and bottle feeding. I’d like to try nursing again if she can latch after the procedure. I’d also like to continue doing some pumping to keep working on my milk production (it’s not great yet) and also be able to build up a freezer stash if possible.

How often should I expect to nurse my 5 week old, how long is a normal feeding, and when/how often should I pump if I’m also nursing?? I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing! I just got on a good pumping and bottle feeding routine and now I’m starting all over again tomorrow.

Any and all advice on my situation is greatly appreciated!
