Well I’ve been making and going to appointments alone since I was 15, but I always got dropped off and never drove myself until I was 18

Didn’t really go to the dr until I was pregnant at 22. Didn’t start driving til 18..

I couldn't drive until I was 21 so I definitely didn't drive there 😊 But I went to doctor's appointments on my own once I went to Uni at around 18.

16. My mom would never take me and I’d always get yelled at by the doctors because I can’t be seen without her consent, but I just kept doing it so they kinda had to get over it.

Where I grew up you could get a permit to drive to and from school and within city limits at 14, so that’s when I started making my own appointments and getting myself there. My parents taught me early how to schedule things and ask for things so it never felt awkward. I still see women my age (40) uncomfortable making phone calls and have their partner do it or avoid it altogether. 🤦🏼‍♀️
