Broken up with someone you were still in love with? How did it go? Did you go back or did you move on with your life?

He was the biggest asshole but I loved him more than life itself but still made the choice to leave he hasn't changed.. when I left it made me and my kids homeless and I am currently sleeping on my brothers couch but I am happier then staying with an asshole who didn't appreciate me .. I will never go back

Broke up with him a few months ago and we haven’t gotten back together or talked to each other since. It was really hard to do because I loved him so much but I knew I had to do it. He has already moved on with someone else.
