Anyone already have baby or in labor?

calli

I'm 29w6days and thinking I might have leaking water, I'm not super concerned with it but will be bringing it up at the next apointment, but just curious as to if anyone that's due in October has had there babys or if there in labor now? How big was baby, and did they need NICU stay time?

I’m a labor and delivery nurse. If you think you’re leaking fluid, you need to get evaluated ASAP. If you are ruptured, youre putting yourself and baby at risk for infection. All 29-30 weekend, regardless of size, will need NICU time.

If you are leaking I would go to Labor and Delivery. You risk getting an infection and losing your baby. The 8th is too long to wait.

Any baby due in October is still in the NICU right now if they were born prematurely. If you think you’re leaking definitely go in and get checked. It’s just a swab of the fluid and nurses would rather you come in and it be nothing than have you get an infection and possibly lose your baby.

I would definitely call your hospital if you think you're leaking water (unless your next appointment is like tomorrow). At 29 weeks, your baby will need NICU time. I would say baby is about 2-3lbs right now.

Even measuring a week ahead, it's still worth calling your doctor I think :)

He's been measuring a week Head since about 20weeks, but I've got an appointment on the 8th. Yesterday I thought I lost my plug when I sat down to use the toilet and felt a release like when your on your period and pass a clot, wiped and saw clear and white mucus aswell, and with all the wetness thats why I'm concerned, I'm a ftm so I'm not sure whats going on other then when he stretches out I'm my ribs and refuses to move lol

If u think you’re leaking fluid then go in to get checked, not a wait and see type situation. It’s highly unlikely but u should find out. U can have a lot of discharge and weak bladder at this stage as well but u should get checked

Most diffiently get checked asap. And yes had my baby eat 24w3d 1lb 5oz. He will be in the NICU for at least 3 months

Any baby under 35 weeks normally needs nicu time. My first was a 35 weeker and he was 6lbs and stayed 7 days. I hope you’ve went to the hospital by now.
