Is keeping up with your appearance, for your spouse, important?

Is trying to stay physically attractive FOR your spouse important in a marriage??

For sure. You don’t have to go all out and dress up and do your hair and make up, but look put together at least. Hair brushed, face clean, smell nice, don’t wear pajamas all day. I’m a SAHM and I find it hard to get motivated to do anything with myself during the day, especially at 31 weeks pregnant, but I try my best because it honestly makes me feel better.

I answered no since I do it for myself. That I feel confident in my body is more important. It's a bonus that my husband appreciate it. 😊

I think it's important to take care of yourself and remain sexually attractive to your spouse. The effort is sexy, if nothibg else.

I think it depends, some people will be attracted to someone they love pretty much no matter what, and for some reason, a lot of people also aren't like that and find their attraction is subject to certain things. (But some people won't admit it or tell you what it's based on, or they don't really know.)
I also think relationships go through phases, and some phases might involve looking like crap together and watchin movies & eating junk food... and my goodness, I love that kind of phase, it's awesome, like being best friends, indulging together hardcore. I think that's actually a formative phase in some people's relationship, where they get really close & comfy. 
But I think some relationships just aren't like that, because of the people in them, some people are workout junkies, and health foodies, or very ambitious, so they aren't into the sitting around like smelly potatoes phase. 
Appearance isn't necessarily more important with either type of person!
I don't know. People have different ideas about appearance, attraction & relationships. 
The most I can say is, it probably is important to some degree, sometimes, in some relationships. Lol
But it also is helpful for an individual to keep up with their appearance, it makes me feel good, I'm not in a relationship, and I don't do it for someone else. 
In most long term relationships, I think it becomes way less important at certain times. But it's very nice to make an effort when you can. 
It's funny to think I grew up reading good housekeeping and trying to imagine I'd be the perfect beautiful wife someday who cleans & cooks and gives bomb-ass blowjobs. And I'm 30 and single, never been married and am very happy not to be 😂 this post reminds me of those dang magazines. Now I don't even want to be in a relationship that superficial. But I can tic the BJ thing off the list.

My husband doesn’t even notice when I gain weight I think lol. But it’s important for him that I’m healthy more than how I look. I personally take great care of myself and stay healthy. I do it for me and also for him. He married me a certain way and I want to keep it like that.

Staying healthy, yes. However, I just woke up and walked out and sat on the couch with my husband. I'm in underwear and a ratty t-shirt and I haven't brushed my hair. Am I going to "beautify" myself just for him every second of every day, hell no!

I think so. It's part of what attracted them after all. My standard of keeping up appearances though is basically just general hygiene and grooming, and wearing clean clothes 😂😂

I like to look nice for him most days, but I also like to look nice for myself!
When I feel like I look good, I’m more confident!

I'm 32 weeks pregnant in the hot ass summer. I'm uncomfortable and sweaty 99% of the time. The last thing I care about is keeping up with my appearance lol. If a man won't love you at your worst , he doesn't deserve you at your best.
