Only 4 weeks and 3 days, should I announce to my grandma?

Question

Prior to this I had a miscarriage at 4 weeks 6 days but this time around is going much better. My hcg levels were 212 at 3 weeks. I already have symptoms and feel better about it. I flew to south Carolina to surprise my grandma for her birthday. If I dont tell her today I most likely won't be able to tell her in person. Should I go for it or play it safe?

I would say go ahead. Hoping for the best. But if something were to happen again, you could have her support! Support is EVERYTHING after a loss. Congratulations!

Girl, go for it! Everyone treats miscarriage like such a taboo topic! For me, talking about it was the best thing I ever did. I spoke to so many people who had miscarriages and went on to have very healthy pregnancies. Plus... if you are close to your family, and anything bad happens, they can mourn that loss with you. It’s okay to be sad with other people!! Ultimately, it’s your decision. But if you want to tell her in person I say DO IT!!! :)

I would definitely tell her! I told my sister and my in-laws in the past week (5 weeks today) because I had the chance to tell them in person. If I were to have another miscarriage (I had one in March) I would be telling them that for the support. No one knew about the miscarriage and I wish I had. This time I will celebrate the whole pregnancy with them. And mourn with them if it ends up being another miscarriage.
