I’m confused..

I started on Provera yesterday to get a period. Today I was just bored pretty much so I took an opk. It turns out positive. I took hpt and it was negative. I’m cycle day 36. Why am I getting a positive opk??

So if you have PCOS, your body produces LH throughout your cycle, not just when you are ovulating. Most OPK's instructions mention that it may not be accurate for PCOS women. For me, I use digital OPKs and theres been times when I've have 12 positive results with no peak and other cycles where it's gone from no detectable LH to peak levels overnight. However, it IS possible for you to actually be ovulating this late in your cycle. But if you've already started the provera, just do that and try again next cycle. Are you on clomid or femara to induce ovulation? That's the only way we got my cycles to regulate was the provera/clomid regimen. Good luck!

No I’m not on Fermara or Clomiphene. Just been taking provera every cycle on cycle day 35. This is the first time in a long time that I have used opks.
