It doesn’t sound girly, it just looks dumb. Spell it Angel. Engel is terrible honestly. I’m trying to not be too much of an ass, but why would you not just spell it properly. Messing it up doesn’t make it anymore masculine. The pronunciation is still the exact same. Well, you want it to be at least. But no one will pronounce it properly.

Engel would not be pronounced Angel by most people. If anything people would read it with a hard g, like En-gal. I don't think it's a nice name for anyone, but particularly a boy if you're worried about it not being masculine enough, because most people won't see it written down, they will hear it when you talk to him or he introduces himself, and will assume it's Angel, and then you haven't solved the issue. Choose a name you actually like rather than trying to convert one that doesn't really work.

I don't think this is a good idea. Especially when your first son has such a cool name, it seem unfair to give your second son a disaster of a name that everyone will constantly pronounce wrong. There's just no way Engel would make the sound ayn-jul. People will always call him Ehn-gul, with a hard g. Like Marx and Engels. 
If you're dead set on doing this then I'd at least spell it Eingel or something. An E alone cannot make the Ayy sound that angel starts with. 
You could even spell it Einjel if you don't want everyone to always assume hard G.
But there's so many names that already start with E. Just a few:
Enzo and Ezekiel
Enzo and Ender
Enzo and Elroy
Enzo and Evander
Enzo and Ezra
Enzo and Edgar

Engel is the word for angel, in German. It’s not pronounced like the English word at all though. If you’re in an English speaking country, you’re probably going to have a lot of confusion surrounding the name.
I’d go with Angelo as someone else suggested or, if matching an “E” name is more important to you, I’d pick an entirely different name.
