Am I right to be annoyed?
Okay so a mutal friend of ours has a lot of animals (3 dogs and 2 cats). Her dogs have ended up with fleas which I understand stuff happens. She asked me on Wednesday if she could bring her cats over while they fog the house, dogs going to another friends.
She was our roommate before and she isn't working a steady job so she really doesn't have the funds to board them. I was concerned about them coming over and getting fleas here as we have a dog and a cat.
She swears up and down the cats dont have fleas, they mostly stay higher up but I mean fleas can jump! She asked me again today and put me on the spot, I asked her to give them a bath or flea bath before she brought them and again she insisted they dont have fleas. One is mostly black and one is a gray tabby so I'm not really sure she can tell.
When she put me on the spot, my husband sat there and said NOTHING. While texting (when we are still over there) he said he didn't want them coming over. Then when we were on our way home he was going on about how he thought we had agreed when he didn't give a definitive answer (when I brought it up on Wed) and just sat there when she said something.
He said he just "tunes her out" well that's not my fault! I shouldn't have to be the one that makes the call, he should support me on things. Now I'm mad because he didn't say anything and now I feel like we are stuck. I guess he is mad because he thought we agreed even though he never gave an answer, I can't read his mind.
Edit: I didn't say that she said cats CANT get fleas, she said they didn't have them at this present time. In my post I was unclear when she asked me if they could come over, I said "let me check with (my husband)" just because that's what we do.
