Period sex?

Me and my boyfriend was talking today and he said he be down to have sex while I’m on my period . 
Has anyone done this? 
I don’t exactly know how to feel about this .

I always used to (currently pregnant) and it was never messy for me, the bleeding practically stops when we have sex but I won't get on top because gravity.

I’ve done it once, and it felt good, but it was already the 3rd day, so there wasn’t much blood anyway

Every month! Not on day two or three when it’s super heavy for me, but definitely at the beginning and end. I’m always super horny on my period and it totally helps with cramps

I have once or twice when I’m super desperate and my period was light. Always had the lights off so I didn’t feel as self conscious, although I felt self conscious. Also if you do it on your period, I’d suggest a shower right before and afterwards. It tends to make your period heavier when you have sex on it
