My 6 day old literally just drank a 3oz bottle... and didnt spit any of it up and has been sleeping soundly for an hour now. How could 3oz fit in her little tummy!!

I’ve read somewhere that there’s a new study saying that newborn stomachs are actually bigger than we see on all of those booklets, so if you have a bigger baby it’s totally normal

My 4 day old is up to 2.5 already!

The general rule of thumb to know how much they need to drink is: (Weight x 2.5)/8...the 2.5 is # of ounces they should consume in a day per pound of body weight. 8 is minimum # of feedings in a day

Absolutely fine, mine has been drinking 4oz since 2 week and now we’re just hitting 5oz at 3 weeks
