When is your first ultrasound?

My doctor wont give me an ultrasound until 10 weeks even though I have a history of miscarriages and never made it to 10 weeks before. Can I possibly schedule one somewhere else?

I’m currently 5w3d and will have my first u/s at 6w4d. I did IVF so it is part of my treatment before they release me to a regular OB.

I have bloodwork at 6weeks on 8/7 and won't have my first ultrasound and genetic testing till 9/15. It's a hard wait!!

I'm high risk, I'm not getting into my GP for another 4 weeks (I'll be 8 weeks) and I'm not sure if we're doing a scan that day or just bloodworm (I don't remember how it went last time), and I won't get to my OB until at the very earliest 12-15 weeks.

My doc is doing an early scan because of previous MC’s. If you’re not happy with your doc you can always get a second opinion and maybe they’d order an early scan

You can pay for a private scan -early reassurance scan, If concerned. I think it’s about £60. Are you in the uk or us?

My OB won’t do one until 12 weeks. First appt they just do heartbeat confirmation at 8 weeks/blood/pap ect. I opted to book a private US done next week (7wks). Many of the 3D/4D places will also do a standard 2D. Mine will be $50.

I’d get a second opinion! I have my first sonogram with 6 weeks, because my IVF clinic does it, but I think previous miscarriage is more than enough reason to keep you monitorated (even if it’s for your peace of mind). Wishing you the best pregnancy! ❤️

I would look at other Ob-gyns in the area. Are you at least getting hcg draws?
