Do I need to use a second form of birth control if I’m on the pill?

I’m 22 and I’m still a virgin, but I went on the pill to help with heavy periods awhile ago. I’m in a relationship, and my boyfriend and I are definitely getting closer to having sex with each other, but I don’t know if I need to use condoms or something in addition to my birth control, or if I’m already covered.

if you’re worried about stds or pregnancy at all i would use condoms. the pill is very effective, but there’s always a chance that you could still get pregnant.
