Any ladies here with the nexplanon implant in their arm? I’m 17 weeks pregnant right now and I plan to be on some sort of birth control after this baby is born so we can prevent having another baby so soon. I’ve been on the depo shot... worst mistake. I’m terrible at taking pills on time... so can’t do that. I don’t feel comfortable with a iud being placed in my uterus... especially after hearing horror stories about them moving out of place. So I feel like my option would be the nexplanon. I like the idea of it being able to be removed when we’re ready for a second baby unlike the depo shot where I had to wait over 2 years to be able to get pregnant, and I only had 2 shots. 🙄

My questions about the nexplanon...

1, how did it affect your periods? I bled everyday for 9+ months on the depo and I’m concerned the nexplanon will affect my periods.

2, if you had it removed in hopes of trying to get pregnant, how soon were you able to ovulate? How soon were you able to get pregnant?

3, can you feel the implant in your arm?

4, does the actual process of getting it implanted in your arm hurt or cause any discomfort?

5, what are your experiences with the implant. Do you recommend?
