Distracted nursing
My daughter is almost 14 weeks old and has recently started to get distracted easily. I breastfeed her. When I feed her she will nurse, then stop to look at the TV. Then start eating again. Then stop to look at someone who started talking. Start eating again. Stop because the cat is behind us on the couch and she wants to look at the cat. When she’s nursing she’s using nutritive sucking and swallowing milk. I wait until she’s using hunger cues but it’s now leading to her cluster feeding hourly some days because she’s distracted while eating. I’m a first time mom so is this normal behavior for her age?
