Yes, and if you're exhausted it's safer to lay down than risk falling asleep and dropping baby. Do what you gotta do mama!

Absolutely.
This was the only way I could breastfeed in the beginning with feeling so sore from stitches - sitting down hurt too much.
I recommend laying on your side with baby facing you whilst on their side. Put an arm above their head and make a protective c-shape whilst baby nurses. It’s a lovely relaxing way to nurse and bond with your baby.
