My 1 year old has been doing this since around 10 months

My 6 year old started doing this out of nowhere! I mentioned it to the dentist and she said its common when new teeth are coming in. They do it to relieve pressure. Sure enough he got his 6 year molars, lost his first 2 baby teeth all within a week and hasnt done it since.

My 10 month old does it every time a new tooth comes in (he’s working on tooth #8). He’ll do it for a couple days and then he just stops doing it on his own.

He will stop on his own it's just a phase most likely. My son did it when he was getting new teeth in. It's a new feeling for him
