When should I announce????

My husband and I found out that I’m pregnant after 3 years of trying! I am absolutely awful at keeping secrets like this because I like sharing happy moments. I know they say after 10-12 weeks because of the chance of miscarriage, but idk that I can keep it secret for 3 months.....

A general rule of thumb is you should feel free to tell the people that you would also feel comfortable sharing the news of a loss with.

We told our family at 13 weeks and everyone else at 20 weeks.

It's up to you. Personally we tell my parents and husband's parents around 8 weeks. Then close family around 12 weeks. Then anyone else around 25 weeks.

We found out a week ago and my husband has told all of his close friends. I’ve only told a close girlfriend and a colleague. We just started announcing to family this past weekend. I won’t be really telling people until I hit the 12 week mark, but it’s so hard to keep a secret. If everything looks good at my first prenatal next week, I may decide to announce after that.

I told immediate family, like my parents and brothers, and a couple close friends, once I found out. I didn’t tell anyone else until around 20 weeks after we had our anatomy ultrasound.

Congrats! We told close family before our first scan with our first.  We told everyone after our first scan this time around. It was just the way the timing worked out getting them all together.
