So, my OB didn’t actually deliver it stitch me up, baby was born too fast the on-call doctor at the hospital had to run down the hall just to make it. Anyway, I’ve been feeling slight twinges of pain every once in a while and figured that would have stopped by now, so I got a mirror and took a look. I had internal stitches and I would swear they’re still there??! I don’t want to go messing around too much if they are, but shouldn’t they have dissolved by now? Husband remembers the on-call doctor saying it would be about three weeks for them to dissolve. Anyone else have stitches still at 4 weeks postpartum or do I need to call the hospital or my OB and see what I should do?
