Was my son allergic to the beach?

We took my 2 1/2 year old daughter and 15 month old son to the beach yesterday for their very first time and as soon as we made ourselves comfortable on the sand with umbrella and all my son began to get extremely irritable. He began having a runny nose, around the eyes began to turn red like you get when you are allergic to something and a few coughs here and there too. He was crying so much like I have never heard him before. There were a few moments he “enjoyed” himself but not enough for us to stay. We ended up going for a stroller ride on the board walk bridge over the ocean

and he was completely “well” again.

No more symptoms, they all left. 😳
