Medela vs. Spectra vs. Lansinoh

I am a FTM and cannot seem to decide between the Medela vs. Spectra S2 or Spectra S2 vs. Lansinoh Signature Pro pumps.

Seems like the Spectra is better rated and liked but the Medela seems to have more accessories that may make storing easier. Medela doesn’t have the backflow protection.

Lansinoh parts seem easier to replace and there are more suction options than the Spectra.

Also, since they all are covered by my insurance, how far in advancerrez should I order? I am due in two months. One month before?

You can order whenever and theyll send the month before you're due usually. I didnt respond to medela at all. Spectra s2 worked well for me however.

It should! I’m sure they could send it out sooner if you live farther away, you could always email them and ask. They respond to email pretty quickly. Good luck!

I ordered mine through edgepark and they did all the work for me, I had it in two days! As far as Spectra vs Medela...definitely go with the Spectra. I had the Medela Freestyle Advanced and the Spectra S2. The Spectra is more user friendly, efficient, comfortable and less little pieces to take apart and clean...plus it’s a closed system pump, so if you decide to pass it on to a friend or family member once you’re done with it, all they’ll need is new accessories to go with it (tubes, flanges, etc).

I ordered mine at 6months. I use both a medela and spectra. I like the spectra better, I bought some parts that convert to medela bottles so I can store in medela because I got a ton of thier bottles at my shower.

I like my medela and all the extra parts are easy to buy in a pinch. The hospital sent me home with a pump so you could look into that too.
