If you're 40 or older, do you regret not having kids?

Any people older than 40 on here that have never had kids and regret it?? Or maybe you a have family members/friends who never had kids and regret it?

I'm not sure if I want them or not. I don't like kids, I don't want to mess up my body with a pregnancy, and I like being able to do what I want when I want. But the idea of starting a family with my boyfriend in the future does sound kind of nice too.

I'm curious about how true that "you'll end up regretting it once it's too late" rhetoric is. Don't know that it'll be very effective on this app but I figured I'd try asking.
