Have you mommas started using sunscreen on you LO’s at 6 mo.?

Just wondering how many of you started putting sunscreen on your babies right at 6mos & who’s planning on waiting longer? If you have, what sunscreen do you use? If not, at what age do you plan on starting? Personally think I’m going to wait it out this summer, keep him shaded & start next year due to his skin being so sensitive.

Thinkbaby ! It’s the best. Started around 5 months we are at the beach a lot

I just find it easier to not worry about it and stay in the shade. Seems like a lot of work to put sunscreen on her 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

I had a pharmacist friend tell me that as long as the sunscreen is meneral and a sensitive formula that it’s safer then traditional baby sunscreen, even for babies under 6 months. I use Baby Aveno Sensitive. It’s a really thick sunscreen and works well. We haven’t had any issues and I started using it on her at 4 months.

We’ve been using sunblock for months. Usually either babyganics or some organic sunblock my mom has. His ped said it’s safer for them to use sunblock than it is for them to get burnt, and advised that because he’s so fair we just go ahead and use it

We use the one with mineral filters, too. My son just started daycare and in the summer they want us to apply sun screen before we drop him off, so he is about to get much more sun screen than before, but he is also just shy of 6 months now. Before we only applied it when we couldn’t entirely keep him in the shade and it was too hot for long-sleeved clothes, so that’s probably been around 10 times in his life so far.

We've been using it for a few months. Our pediatrician said it was fine as long as it was mineral based. This is what we use.

Mine had it on at like 3 months, it was a baby one, he's very fair skinned and would burn almost instantly otherwise 😂
