Are you ever really ready?
So I’m 20 years old & my boyfriend is 25. We’ve been together for 3 years, and are looking to move in together soon. Recently, we’ve been not doing much to really prevent any pregnancy from happening. I’m not on birth control, and we don’t use condoms. We just agreed that whatever happens will happen for a reason. However, we have talked about when we will actually start trying and he said he wants to in about a year or so once we’re settled into our new home together. We both work full time, he makes really good money and I make a decent amount. I know I want to have a baby young, I don’t want to have young children when I’m 40. I’d rather be able to enjoy my time with a baby and be able to do things with him/her. I know I’m definitely ready for it financially, mentally and relationship wise, but sometimes I deeply think about it and wonder, are you ever REALLY 100% ready to have a baby? I just feel like it’s such a surreal thing that it’s hard to be 100% ready to have one at any age. Anyways, what was it like for you guys ? Did it really hit you that you were having a baby when you got pregnant & do you feel more ready and excited as you progress? I’m curious to know! (:
