Need some advice

So I’ve been dating my boyfriend for over a year now. I’m a virgin and he isn’t. We have started talking about having sex. I love him and I want that type of relationship with him but I’m so scared that I could end up pregnant. How do I talk to him about that and how can I get over my fear?
