Is it bad for a baby to stand early?FTM

Sorry my stupid question but my mother in law was telling that is bad for their legs   (something of the old wives tales ).
My baby is 5 months old and he started to stand up completely by himself and he can hold himself bup like for 20 seconds.
Even when he is sitting up, yesterday tried to do it when were bathing him.

My son did exactly that, asked his pediatrician and he said as long as he does it himself it’s no problem. But a grownup trying to make baby pull up, stand, walk, etc can lead to a problem.

Um, no? Babies all develop at different rates and hit milestones at different ages. If he’s pulling himself up on his own, let him!

As long as you are holding most of his weight then it shouldn’t be a problem, but at this age baby can get bow legs from weight being put on them before their bones are ready xx clever man

Depends, if u guys are standing him or if he’s doing it on his own. Babies figure stuff out at different rates, but when we “force” it that can cause issues later on
