Ladies who are breastfeeding: for birth control would you opt for the mini pill or IUD?

FTM, before baby I was on the pill but got migraines from it. Strongly considering IUD this time around.

I’ve never been on birth control before because it freaks me out honestly (I know I’m a weirdo) and just recently got the Paraguard IUD! EBF rn but just starting pumping to get a small stash going. It hurt like a mofo getting it put in and my boyfriend can feel it 😳 haven’t gotten my period yet so don’t know how different that’ll be yet

I think I’m going with the IUD. Have an appointment next week. Still unsure about going with the hormonal one or copper. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Following because the regular pills gave me migraines too. I don’t want to go back to that. 😩

I used the mini pill with my first with great success and am now back on it after my second. I never had any crazy mood swings or anything like on a regular pill. I stopped taking it in August 2018 because we were ready to try for our second. I was pregnant in September 2018 with our June baby. I never had a period on the pill and it didn’t effect my milk at all. 
I was never a candidate for an IUD because we have a family history of cervical cancer so it was either the mini pill or condoms 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m doing the mini pill for now, at least until I get a period. I was tracking my period for a year before getting pregnant (as a method of birth control) and just made sure to be careful when I was ovulating because the pill made me crazy.
