Is Handmaiden Tale so sad even after the first episode?? Maybe not the best to watch on maternity leave? What do you think?

it’s a great show, but it does have an impact on my mental state. so i tend to watch a fee episodes at a time rather than binging.

The first few episodes are the hardest to watch, but it gets easier to watch when you find out she’s a bad ass. Tough subject matter but it’s worth the watch.

It is very heavy, especially when pregnant/postpartum. I watch it but I cry at many parts lol if you think you can handle the content though I say go for it, it is a really good show.
