Dissed at the Tim Hortons for being “too polite” 😂
So I am Canadian and was at Tim Hortons yesterday (in my hometown here in Canada). I saw a man with his hands full of coffee and donuts and he had his young toddler with him. They were struggling to get out the door so I went over and held it open for them. He looked at me and said “typical fucking Canadian. Always have to be SO polite!”. (He must have been from another country visiting Canada)
I literally burst out laughing and told him to “have a great day!”. He mumbled some other ignorant things as he walked out the door. To be completely honest, I would have liked to slam the door in his face, but I figured his young daughter deserved to see some act of kindness, because clearly her father was not a very good role model! I honestly don’t know what is wrong with this world these days.. 🤦🏼♀️
Holding the door open for someone isn’t “a typical Canadian” thing, it’s a decent human being thing to do when you see someone struggling! People get offended way too easily these days..
