I'm gonna lose my mind here soon if she doesn't knock this crap off. I'm absolutely so sick and tired of eating her saying my son needs cereal.

Hes a breastfed baby and I occasionally give him a bottle if I need a break (bc honestly BFing is exausting!) He has a good latch and will nurse for 10-40 minutes at a time. If he falls asleep I wake him up and continue to nurse him.

He cries when he's put down anywhere. I don't know why but he can't stand it and that's when she says he needs cereal.

As soon as you pick him up he's fine and happy again.

She also keeps saying how everybody and their damn dog gives their baby cereal and started at 6 weeks (which is how old my son is)

And I'm beyond frustrated.

Just because someone else puts their baby on cereal does not mean I have to do the same with mine.

I have explained this to her so many times but I feel it goes right over her head.

We are on a trip to see family and it's almost at an end. I'm so thankful for that because I'm over it.

We are staying with my great great aunt and my grandma said today that my son's constant crying (which isn't constant) is making her stomach turn and knot up and "forcing" her outside.

She said this morning she wanted to work outside as long as she could because it's a cool day and not in the 80's.

I feel like my grandmother is making up these things so that I give in and let her win.

She even said my mom said stuff that she didn't. It didn't even sound like anything my mom would say!

And I asked my mom and she was shocked (but not surprised) that my grandmother said things she didn't.

I feel like she doesn't see me as a good mother.. she says I'm "selfish" for not wanting to give him it.

He's 6 weeks only and around 10 pounds. He has gained 2.5 pounds since birth.

She also says "how would you feel being on an all liquid diet" well if I was getting all the nutrients I needed then yeah I'd be pretty darn happy. Anyways it's recommend they only have liquid until 6mo unless recommend otherwise by pediatrician.

I love my grandmother but I can't stand her right now.
