HSG ????

Question

Has anyone had this procedure done?
I had it done a week ago and for me the pain was excruciating 2 hours after the procedure. The pain was like contractions pain. Has anyone gotten a bfp after this, or experienced the same pain?

Still not pregnant unfortunately, hopefully it will happen this month!!!

I had one. The water wouldnt even go in and kept spilling out thats how blocked I was. I needed surgery to clean house and my pipes. I got pregnant 2 months after with my first, had my second 15 months after and now pregnant with number 3 and due feb.

I’ve had it a week ago, there was a drilling-like pain for like 30 seconds, I guess it was when the doctor put the dye inside. It was a horrible pain but it was brief, there was spotting and I had slight cramping after the procedure. after two hours we actually BD and no pain at all. 
Thank God there was no blockage, so I’m really praying for a BFP this month. Baby dust to everyone 🧚🏼‍♀️

I had it done yesterday and hoping it helps with getting a baby! It was very short and definitely worth it to clean out the path. I had a block in my right tube and it opened up. Anyone else get it this month?

So it’s normal for there to be pain during and after a HSG examination. That being said should it become unbearable it is best to consult a doctor. It is unlikely that a pregnancy will survive after this examination is done that is why there are so many checks before hand to make sure you aren’t pregnant before a HSG takes place. Especially with the radiation and the contrast medial that is used (I’m a radiographer in the UK). If you feel anything untoward please seem medial advice 😊

I had an HSG done today. Left tube is blocked. But my doctor said it could just be a spasm that causes them to be blocked. She did say that this month is our best shot! The pain was horrible. I’m managing with Advil. Good luck to you!

I had an HSG last November. I had mild period cramps afterwards for the rest of the evening and spotting for a couple days afterwards but no excruciating pain. I was told women are more fertile after the HSG as it kind of “cleans house” however we didn’t conceive until June of this year.

I had a HSG test done yesterday & was super nervous! The screen was behind me so I have no idea what the results are until I speak with my doctor. The procedure for me was painless and lasted no more than 10 minutes if that. I couldnt feel anything but saw some of the dye and what looked like discharge on the pad when it was over. now am scheduled to get an ultrasound today so prayers up! I’m ready to get pregnant lol

Mine went good. It did not hurt! I took 660Mg of naproxen 45 minutes before the appointment . I talked to my doctor before the procedure he made sure everthing will be good. It did not hurt! Dont be affraid, and deep breath! Good luck !
