So I really need a place to vent. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant with my first child. Due to me losing my job, my boyfriend & I had to give up our place and move in with his mom. As my due date approaches, we decided I will be staying at my mom's house since it is closer to my drs office and of course, being a first time mom, I feel more comfortable being with my mom. It has always been the plan and now that we are actually getting to that point, my MIL threw the biggest fit accusing me of never liking her or her husband (my bfs stepfather). I have never been disrespectful to either of them or their house. The fact is, she is very controlling of my bf and his 1st born (through a previous relationship) and with me, she hasn't been able to get that control over me.

In my family, we are very active and like do things together, even if it's just hanging out watching movies together in the living room. But in their household, everyone is very separated. Each in their own room or area. So obviously I am not used to that type of way. And she has done everything to ensure we don't leave her little bubble.

Like for example, my family and I, spend a lot of time at the pool. I took my bf and his daughter with us a few times and after that she purchased a $300 pool to put in the backyard so "we didn't have to go to the pool and we could just stay home". My bfs daughter loved going to pool with us, and has even asked me if I could take her but they throw the biggest fit because she has a pool in the back. It just feels like she wants to keep us secluded under her roof.

It just frustrates me because this has always been the plan, for months now. I had a feeling she didn't like it but for her to actually show her true colors, especially during this time so close to my due date, is really cold and frustrating.

Sorry it's such a long post. It's honestly not even all that's been done or said by her but this is just to much for me now. I don't feel I need to explain my reasoning to her, once again. Especially when I've never done anything to disrespect her.
